Standings
The Reining Canada Beginner Class standings are up on the web site at www.reiningcanada.com/ pdf/standings2007/RCBeginner2007.pdf. The standings are current to July 25, 2007.
In order to promote the sport of reining and attract new riders to our sport, Reining Canada is introducing a new class. A special feature of this class is that awards will be awarded to all of the top ten riders in the year-end standings.

The goals of the Reining Canada Young Rider Reining Medal Program are to assist in the development of young riders as reiners, provide valuable horsemanship experience and have a program to identify and develop future international reiners.

FEI Reining Stewards Course
The NRHA will be holding an FEI Stewards Course during the NRHA Futurity this fall. Deadline for application is October 29th. Reining stewards are used at the international level only. With more international events taking place around Canada, the need is increasing.
All Canadian reiners are invited to attend. Participants will be responsible for their own transport, accommodation and meal costs. Participation as a steward at the CRIO Oklahoma City, OK, is expected as part of the course and performance will be evaluated.
The course fee is $100 and the course will be held at the NRHA Headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
The schedule is as follows, for Tuesday, November 27.
• 8:00 am to 8:30 am: Check in and breakfast.
• 8:30 am to 12:00: FEI Structure, Responsibilities of the FEI Steward
• 12:00: Lunch provided.
• 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Continued discussion and attendance at the Horse Inspection, Fairgrounds.
Wednesday and Thursday, November 28-29: Participants will serve as assistant stewards at the competition. Be prepared to take shifts on the 24-hour stable security as well as other responsibilities.
Credit will be given to USEF participants for one of three required apprenticeships.
Before attending this course, download and read the FEI General Regulations, FEI Veterinary Regulations, FEI Statutes and FEI Reining Rules as well as the FEI Reining Steward’s Manual. These documents can be accessed and downloaded from the FEI web site www.horsesport.org under Reining/Rules.

Eastern NRHA Affiliate Finals
The Finals season is approaching! The Eastern Canada NRHA Affiliate Finals will be held at Black’s Equine Centre, Hamilton, ON, October 26th - 28th.
