The Calgary Regional Appaloosa Club members worked hard organizing the Claresholm Appaloosa Congress Show on August 19 and 20, 2006 which culminated in a very successful production.
A huge bouquet of flowers to the volunteers who donated their time to this endeavour:
Donna Wyatt for ordering up the arena, the judges, the rooms, the cattle, and the food, and also stepped in as ring steward; and Monique Plumb handled all of the entries, the printing, the pre-organization and on top of that was the social coordinator.
Karl Hueneburg tabulated the points throughout the two days so we could give the high point awards as soon as possible after the show and did some heavy lifting moving equipment and cows here and there and also kept us in communication.
Diena Hueneburg handled the hitching gate and the doling out of ribbons with the assistance of Clare Biever, Jackie Cross, Helga Roh and Rita Ford.
Pat Hyndman collected all of the awards and handled the finances and did general gopher work and Gene Danysk, a new recruit, did an awesome job as ring steward. We love that sense of humour that never quits.
Rick Miller took a stint as ring steward and moved equipment and pushed cows around with Heidi Miller, Jason Edworthy and Sherry Gresko; and Cliff and Doreen Hooker worked behind the scenes in the organization of the show and Cliff put his muscles to good use moving equipment and cows.
Bob Wood, another new recruit, learned the announcer’s trade with enthusiasm and Bernice Niemeyer announced the rest of the show.
