The Jump Canada Western Championship of the 2006 Canadian Young Horse Development Series was expanded this year to include events across the country. The Western Championship represented the culmination of the Series on the West coast.
The purpose of the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series is to encourage the development of young show jumping talent and to give Canadian breeders additional incentives to breed superior show jumping prospects.

Earlier this spring (2006) , members of the Peruvian Horse Club of Alberta as well as others had the opportunity to travel to Peru and visit the homeland of their favourite breed. One of those lucky members was Bryan Molden of Sherwood Park, AB.
The lead change is a maneuver that causes stress and sleepless nights for many riders. Not only do non-professional riders have this fear, but trainers do as well.
As with any project, putting on a cow horse show can be a large undertaking. As Doug and I began to sort out the details of putting together a new show in which our major focus would be on the bridle and non-pro horses, we were impressed and surprised by the number of people who stepped forward to offer not only their encouragement but also their help with organization, sponsorship, and cattle and arena preparation.
I’m a Calgarian. Not a real dyed-in-the-wool, live-in-the-city Calgarian, but I was born in a Calgary hospital. Soon as I was able, they took me and my mom back to the farm where I was raised.
Competitors from 10 states and two provinces gathered at the Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell, Montana, for the annual Montana Reined Cow Horse Futurity.
