Mandy McCutcheon (pictured left) became the first woman to earn more than $1 million in reining competition this spring.
The 30-year-old Tioga, Texas, resident reached the milestone with her victories at the National Reining Breeders Classic April 20 in Katy, Texas.
McCutcheon rode Rawhides Banjo to the championship in the Non-Pro division and took reserve honours in the same event with I Spin For Chics. In all, these performances were worth $57,000.
Both horses are owned by her father, Tim McQuay.
