Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC, showed spectators what horsepower was all about during their West Coast Classic June 27 to July 1, with Jaguar and Land Rover of Richmond sponsoring the $20,000 Canada Day Grand Prix.
International course designer Danny Foster put together a Grand Prix that included a bank, water jump, two combinations and plenty of room to get up a good gallop. Six horse-rider combinations advanced to the jump off with clear fast rounds.

Canada’s eventing, show jumping, and dressage teams are on their way to Pan American Games
For its 25th year, the Edmonton Northlands Horse Show kicked off in the infield of the racetrack at Northlands Park. From May 29 to June 3 harness racing came second at the track as over 330 hunter/jumper competitors vied for over $160,000 in prize money.
It was a full few days of equestrian action at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC, from May 23 to 27, but after five days of competition it was time to get the big class of the week underway: the $50,000 CSI** Spring Classic Grand Prix.
Calgary’s Albert Kley jumped to victory in the $75, 000 ATCO/ Kubota Centennial Grand Prix at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, in Brandon, MB, on March 31.
