The Edmonton area’s first outdoor hunter/ jumper show of the season kicked off with the Amberlea Meadows Spring Welcome Horse Show held on the weekend of April 28, 2006.
With 82 classes spanning all levels of the hunter and jumper disciplines, the show had something to offer every rider. After a slow winter show schedule and the monotony of indoor riding, Alberta riders showed their eagerness to get back into the outdoor show ring.
“It’s a really good warm-up show,” said rider Bronwyn Scrivens, who competed on her Thoroughbred/Trakehner mare Super Nova in classes up to the 3’6” Jumpers. “It’s a great opportunity to start the season, and see where you are and what you need to improve upon.”

In the summer of 2006, the Canadian Performance Futurity competitions will be launched across Canada. This program will provide young Canadian-bred horses with the opportunity to be profiled in the disciplines of hunter, jumper and dressage.
